Dinner out with the Mannings

After the basketball game, we all went to dinner at a Thai restaurant to celebrate the victory and also Grammy's and Granddaddy's 70th birthdays. Uncle Dave, Aunt Lisa, and the boys also joined us. Uncle Dale and Aunt Vera were there too. Unfortunately, none of my sisters could make it. They were there in spirit though.

Uncle Doug insisted on holding Clara all throughout dinner while Steph and I ate.

Uncle Dave also had a turn holding Clara.

Ben is waiting patiently to hold his baby cousin.

Ben didn't seem to enjoy Thai food too much, but he always enjoys holding Miss Clara!

Basketball Game.

Saturday, we attended Clara's cousin John's basketball game. They won the Fairfax County Select league for 14 year-olds championship (I don't know the name of the league). This is good basketball. This team would have beaten my high school's varsity team easily! At any rate, Clara enjoyed the game because she was passed around the whole time.

First, it was grammy's turn.

Next, Aunt Vera got a chance to hold Clara.

This is John's house -- he's the tall (6'10"), blond curly haired one playing "D" in the middle of the key.

Still Vera's turn?

Visit from Granddad

Granddad was missing his grand daughter so he flew to DC on his way back from a business trip for a short visit.

Just up from a nap.

"Granddad is comfy."

Clara showing her range

Here is a series of pictures where Clara shows her extensive range!

A good belly laugh.

Serious look.

Perplexed.

"You can't be serious."

"HaHaHa." Laughing.

Laughing 2.

Her best Winston Churchill.

"Who me?"

"Who do you think you are?"

"Don't hate me because I'm beautiful."
